The door is knocking for Meru County

With the coming of World Tourism day 2015 on 24th- 27th September in Meru County, the event itself is a great and unique opportunity for the County to showcase in what they pride in. Most travel prospects as well the industry stakeholders are eagerly preparing for the great and iconic event. The big question is how is the County prepared to utilize the special opportunity to roll the carpet on for other counties to envy and desire to hold such an event in future.
I stand to be corrected if I am in my own world to undoubtedly knowing the county as the leading in growing of Miraa. It is known to many. Infact the County is best leading County for Miraa export. Besides, Meru County has a number of visitors’ attraction which includes Meru National Park which is a complete wilderness. Among other attraction is the proximity of the County to Africa’s 2nd highest mountain that makes it a Mt. Kenya climbing circuit through the Chogoria route.
Kenya is at the peak of luring and attracting more visitors to the country which is clearly defined by this year theme of World Tourism Day- “millions of tourist, millions of opportunities”.
There is a lot of expectation from other counties in terms of attractions, accommodation and branding of the county to achieve a competitive edge in the competing industry.
For Meru County, “IT IS MY TIME NOW”.
