Kenya has positioned
itself as a mother country for athletic heroes majorly based on the charming performance in the international athletic events. Previously, our
outstanding performance in the Olympics and Marathon such as the Chicago,
Boston, Berlin, London and New York has made our lovely country leave a mark in
the international map. In the just concluded London marathon, Kenya continues
to shine in its quest for international competitions.
Kenya has highly
quality training grounds that play an enormous role in developing world class athletes.
The high altitude training camps attract numerous international athletes who
desire to experience that which builds Kenya’s renowned runners. One of the country’s athletic training grounds is Iten
in Kenya's Rift Valley. It is a Mecca for potential running champions and nurtures
the world's best long-distance runners. This small town of Iten, 2,350 meters
(8,000 feet) above sea level has churned out so many of Kenya's great athletes.
It is definitely
importance to visit these places and get to know why ‘We are who we are’ in
